Man VS Monster
In Man VS Monster two player battle it out, one as a human and one as a monster. The human needs to survive long enough to escape while the monster just wants to eat that pesky human.
Fair Gameplay
I wanted the gameplay to be as fair as possible and it proved to be a challenge. Since both players see everything from the same perspective I had to be careful in what I added.

The crosshair and outline help both players equally in clarity and showing intent, the dash gives the human more mobility and unpredictability while the monsters low cooldown on the grabbing help even the odds out. The NPCs also make good meat shields for the human to hide behind making it a bit safer to be on the ground.
Level Design
For the level I wanted the human to be able to jump around both vertically and horizontally, initially the level was supposed to be curved because of some perspective issues I had but the idea had to be scrapped because the curving caused more issues than the system I currently have.
Immersion
The destructible walls add an element of immersion to being the monster. I wanted it to be satisfying to smash buildings and grab the NPCs running around. I believe the VFX help with this, giving satisfaction to grabbing and smashing while the human can escape and they can also feel gratified.
